Shoptimise was founded in 1972 by Ton Huttmann, an architect who specialized in designing and constructing (international) retail outlets. Each time he built a new shop, he analysed what worked well and what did not. Over the years, this resulted in a checklist of 650 points: the Shop Analysis Tool. Maximum turnover is achieved if a store fulfills all 650 checkpoints.

It is very rare that any given store will have a perfect score. That means that there’s hidden potential. In each shop! Potential that will result in increased turnover and, more importantly, higher profits.

Although our ‘home market’ is the Netherlands, our method is tried and tested in several European countries. We have historically been focused on fashion retail but have also improved turnover at bakers, jewelers, and recently a specialist Spanish guitar shop.
